Mike Partridge

Mike was born, as he likes to say, in the East Anglian part of Essex in 1954. He became a Christian at the age of 27 around the time that he moved up to Manchester with his work.

After 40 years working in commercial insurance in London and Manchester (he is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute) Mike is now retired and able to devote himself to his many interests, which include history, Ipswich Town FC, travel, apple computers, designing web pages and unlocking the truth of the Bible. A key verse for his life has been equipping ‘the saints for the work of ministry,’ Ephesians 4:12 ESV.

He has been a house group leader in a local Baptist Church and involved in helping to lead numerous courses such as Alpha that seek to engage with Seekers or establish new Christians in their personal walk with God. In 1995 he created the Golden Key web site (www.george-macdonald.com), online home to the George MacDonald Society and the ‘Wingfold’ email discussion group.

He is married to Liz and lives in Cheshire, not far from Manchester in the United Kingdom. In recent years they have developed a shared interest in mission with local partners in Hungary and Uganda.
